Gorilla Zoe's "King Kong" Planned For March 22 Release
UPDATE: After delays since October, the former Boyz N Da Hood front-man will reportedly drop in spring.
It was announced yesterday that eOne Entertainment will join Atlantic Records and Block Entertainment in releasing Gorilla Zoe's third studio album, King Kong on October 26 March 22, 2011. Previously, the major and the independent labels have collaborated with other southern rappers, such as Hot Boys' B.G. and Juvenile releases last year.
King Kong finds the "Hood Nigga" hit-maker picking up where last year's Don't Feed Da Animals left off, which prompted the popular single "Lost." This will be the Boyz N Da Hood's first solo album without the involvement of Bad Boy Records or Sean "Diddy" Combs.
eOne's President Alan Grumblatt said, "I'm thrilled to be working with Block Entertainment and Atlantic Records. Gorilla Zoe is a great artist and Block is a music visionary. Three labels are better than one!”
