Lupe Fiasco Fans Organize "Fiasco Friday II" For "Lasers" Release

Four cities will have masses of fans celebrating what they demanded of Atlantic Records - a prompt release of Lu's third album.

Chicago, Illinois emcee Lupe Fiasco has loyal fans. So much so that the supporters organized "Fiasco Friday" last October 15, to protest the rapper's delayed Lasers album release outside of Atlantic Records. The grassroots campaign drew not only crowds, but it attracted publicity, and Lupe himself, along with Warner Music Group North American Chairman Lyor Cohen.

With Lasers now on the books for a March 8, 2011 release, Lupe Fiasco's fans have organized another grassroots gathering. Dubbed "Fiasco Friday II," fans are asking each other to unite at New York City's Union Square on the release date to purchase the emcee's third album. Three other cities, Chicago, Houston and Los Angeles will have similar organized events.
