Saigon Helps Out New York's Homeless Communities

Saigon took some time off from the release of his long-awaited debut to hand out blankets to New York's less fortunate citizens.

Saigon recently took to the streets of his hometown New York City to help out the city's homeless community. Partnering with the Bowery Mission Homeless Shelter in New York, the rapper handed out blankets to the city's less fortunate.

"Me and some friends of mine, the Ahuja’s that own a garment manufacturing company, took to the very cold streets of NYC over these past couple of nights to hand out warm blankets to help the homeless stay warm," he said. "We covered Port Authority, Penn Station and the Bowery Mission Homeless shelter handing out over a hundred blankets." (AllHipHop.com)

He added, "If we can prevent one person from freezing to death out there on the streets, that makes everything worth it. I wish more Hip Hop artists would step up and help give something back to their communities. If everyone used the power they have to lend a helping hand, hopefully it would inspire others to do the same." (AllHipHop.com)

Saigon is currently preparing the release of his long-awaited debut LP The Greatest Story Never Told, due out this February 15 via Suburban Noize Records.
