Threat Against Police Led To Lil Boosie's Drug-Smuggling Charge

According to The Advocate, a credible threat against East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore III and his office led authorities to Lil Boosie’s drug charges in May.

“I can confirm that we received information relative to a credible threat against District Attorney Hillar Moore and the District Attorney’s Office,” State Police spokesman Lt. Doug Cain said.

The threat remained unsubstantiated, but Cain said that it led to Boosie’s arrest for trying to smuggle codeine syrup into jail. Boosie will next go before a judge tomorrow (June 22nd) to “recuse the District Attorney’s Office from the murder case” since his lawyer claims Moore has a “personal interest” in the case.
