Big L's "Danger Zone" To Be Released By Brother; Gang Starr, D.I.T.C. Featured


The second collection of rare and unheard songs in as many years will release on May 31.

Iconic Harlem, New York emcee Big L will see another posthumous release added to his growing catalog. Rare and unheard recordings - now digitally remastered from the lyricist within D.I.T.C. (a/k/a Diggin' In The Crates) will be packaged as Danger Zone, and released on May 31 on RBC Records and executive produced by L's brother Donald Phinazee.

The collection of songs, distributed by RBC, are said to feature L's mentor, Lord Finesse, Gang Starr and his own D.I.T.C. brethren. Last year, a similar collection of songs was released as Return of the Devil's Son.

Before his untimely death in 1998, Big L released one album, 1995's Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous. He also worked extensively on D.I.T.C.'s official 2000 debut, and a would-be posthumous release, 2000's The Big Picture.
