Ja Rule Sentenced For Felony Tax Evasion, Present Bid Will Run Concurrently

eff Atkins got another two-year sentence today, in addition to his present weapons conviction, but he is still expected home by summer, 2013.

Queens, New York rapper Ja Rule has been incarcerated on Rikers Island correctional facility since early last month for a felony weapons conviction. Still, the onetime platinum star for The Inc. (f/k/a Murder Inc.) was sentenced to two additional years today for tax evasion.

According to XXLMag.com, who spoke to Ja's attorney Stacey Richman, the rapper will be allowed to serve each sentence - both of which are two years - concurrently. If those sentences are completed, that brings the "Holla, Holla" hit-maker home in the summer of 2011.

Rule has promised two albums to release during his incarceration, Pain Is Love 2 and Renaissance Project. Despite several release dates, neither has formally dropped.
