Beyonce is in cahoots with Clint Eastwood to remake 1937's A Star Is Born, a musical version.
The Associated Press reports that while Bey would be placed in a starring role, Eastwood would direct alongside producers Billy Gerber, Basil Iwanyk and Jon Peters. Although the film has been remade twice, once in 1954 and again in 1976, this rendition of the classic may bring a nice modern flair to the tale of rising to fame.
Corporate spokeswoman Jessica Zacholl notes that the deals have not been finalized and negotiations are ongoing.
