Edo G & DJ Premier Reunite On "A Face In The Crowd" Album On May 17


The O.G. is back with a new album, which he's calling his "best album to date."

Boston, Massachusetts Hip Hop pioneer Edo G (f/k/a Ed O.G.) will release his latest album in a 20 year-career on May 17 in A Face In The Crowd. To be released by Traffic Entertainment, the effort finds the former front-man Da Bulldogs and an active Special Teamz member reuniting with Gang Starr producer DJ Premier. In 2000, the pair worked together on Edo's "Sayin' Somethin'" single from Truth Hurts.

Additionally involved with A Face In The Crowd is Statik Selektah, Slaine, Chali 2na, M1 and Bishop Lamont.

Edo G called the album his best work, saying, "A Face in The Crowd will double your pleasure and triple your pain. It's my best album to date. Feel-good music boom-bap music, Hip Hop music."

Edo's latest album was a 2009 collaborative project, A&E, with EMC member and Brooklyn, New York veteran Masta Ace.
